Community
Year 2 Intergenerational Tea Party
Year 2 pupils harvested the fruit growing in the school grounds and discussed what they could do with it. The pupils voted on making something to share with other/ give it to the community. They decided to invite in family members and elderly members of he community to ask them about their childhood. They researched apple recipes from the past and settled on apple crumble. They followed a recipe to make 60 portions!
After creating and sending out invitations and posters, they write a list of questions to ask the community whilst hosting the event.
It was a big success and the pupils learned a lot about Old Colwyn and the life of a child in the past.
